My mom passed down many traits–her patience, her smile, her love of animals. One thing I wasn’t lucky enough to get was her flawless handwriting.
After she had my brothers and me, she quit her profession as a physical therapist and became a stay-at-home mom. Some time later, she took a job as a secretary at St. Thomas More school. They probably hired her solely based on her handwriting talents.
Each and every letter she writes is full of precision. It’s like she wrote the alphabet over and over until she could clone every letter perfectly. It’s a talent I always coveted.
